aplicación de efectivo/conciliación de pagos

Sandra, the answer might depend on what application you are translating for, but for example SAP has a SAP Cash Application which they translate literally as Aplicación de efectivo SAP

https://www.sap.com/spain/products/financial-management/paya...

However, you should also note that they refer to the function that the software SAP Cash Application does as Conciliación de Pagos (which is, in effect, what it does do):

So if you're translating a SW name such as SAP Cash Applicaction then my recommendation would be to follow SAP's suit and be literal:

Aplicación de Efectivo xxxx

If, however you are talking about an unspecified or unbranded SW that is a cash application, I would go for using its described function:

Aplicación de conciliación de pagos

The ONLY place I ave been able to find that uses Aplicación de efectivo is SAP, so I would only use it for this context.

Another version I have found is Aplicación de conciliación automática, but there doesn't seem to be a standardised name for it in Spanish.

utilización de efectivo / pagos al contado

En este contexto en particular leo application como uso, utilización; utilización de efectivo, o más específicamente (tal vez) referido a la posibilidad de realizar pagos al contado.

What is cash application?

First, let’s explore what “cash application” is. If accounts receivable defines the money that customers owe you for services rendered, cash application means receiving and applying the payments from customers for services rendered.
https://blog.apruve.com/the-importance-of-cash-application-a...

Cash application is a part of the accounts receivable process that applies incoming payments to the correct customer accounts and receivable invoices. In order to do this, the first step is to determine where to apply the payments. This is normally done by matching the payment to the associated invoices. If for some reason the payment cannot be correctly matched to its associated invoice then the payment is matched to the customer at the customer account level.
