"Выявлено, что определение нервно-психической устойчивости является информативным средством для прогноза выбора сотрудниками правоохранительных органов копинг-стратегий совладающего поведения".
Насколько я знаю, совладающее поведение - это coping behaviour. Но в этой фразе уже употребляется выражение coping strategies. Возможно ли перевести всю фразу как behavioral coping strategies или просто coping strategies (ведь они уже входят в понятие совладающее поведение)?

It looks like we agree on coping. It means the same in both languages. I am just curious as to how the Russian equivalent, which clearly brings up the term behavior, equates to a concept that covers cognitive, emotional and behavioral spheres. Копинг, копинговые стратегии (англ. coping, coping strategy) — это то, что делает человек, чтобы справиться (англ. to cope with) со стрессом. Понятие объединяет когнитивные, эмоциональные и *поведенческие стратегии*, которые используются, чтобы справиться с запросами обыденной жизни. Близкое понятие, широко используемое и глубоко разработанное в русской психологической школе, — переживание (см. например, Ф. Е. Василюк (1984)).

Still, I’m not sure that “поведенческие стратегии” translates to “совладающего поведения.” Frankly speaking, the more information I find, the more out of my depth I feel. So I’ll probably elude the argument for awhile.

I got interested in the subject, so I called a relative who’s been working professionally in psychiatry for years. He speaks some English and is native in Russian. In his opinion, “копинг-стратегия” means “coping strategy,” and attaching “совладающего поведения” doesn’t add any “subtleties” at all. Nonetheless, I guess he might be wrong as he is “only” a psychiatrist, not a psychologist.

The word behavioral must be in the translation, since coping can be cognitive, emotional, or behavioral. I am giving you my translation as a psychiatrist with 30 years of clinical experience following 12 years of study. If this is as Rashid claims, then the original Russian author has a limited grasp of coping as a concept. It's your call.

Hundreds of coping strategies have been identified.[6] Classification of these strategies into a broader architecture has not yet been agreed upon. Common distinctions are often made between various contrasting strategies, for example: problem-focused versus emotion-focused; engagement versus disengagement; cognitive versus behavioral. The psychology textbook by Weiten identifies three broad types of coping strategies:[1]

appraisal-focused: Directed towards challenging one's own assumptions, adaptive cognitive
