Not the perpetrators, but treated as if they were I had to deliver before I received all the answers, but I chose a Swedish word that comes close to the meaning of Ledja's suggestion. --- In fact, the family is not guilty, only one person is. But the whole family is punished, if not by being killed, by losing the sons or brothers (including their importance to the economy of the household).

The family are NOT the perpetrators Actually the family are not exactly the perpetrators, so please wait and see if someone else answers this right. The family just belongs to the person who is the "doras", which is an old term for "killer", they have not killed anyone so they cannot be blamed, but the males of the family are now eligible to be targeted.

According to Leonard Newmark's Alb-Eng dictionary, this is an old use - as it figures - and it can mean any of the slight variations below according to the context:

1.killer, avenger 2.culprit; guilty party

However, since the parties (families) in a blood feud are referred to as "the family that has incurred blood" and "the family that owes blood", I came up with "blood-owing family" - not an established term in English, but pretty self-explanatory.
