Assuming this is all on-screen stuff and the 'pressing' is done using the mouse, I don't think you can really say 'press' in EN (which implies soemthing physical)
The exact expression you need may depend on whether you only need to hold for a certain time before something happens, or if you in fact need to keep your mouse button held down to display something, which disappears as soon as you let go.

It seems as if you probably have to click and hold just until the contextual menu appears; you are obviously then going to have to let go in order to be able to select something from the menu.
The exact expression you need may depend on whether you only need to hold for a certain time before something happens, or if you in fact need to keep your mouse button held down to display something, which disappears as soon as you let go.
