This is my best guess.
There are many non-slip paints on the market today however none of them offer the unique combination of benefits of Protectakote. Protectakote is an extremely well established product and has, under the Durabak name, been around in the USA for over 15 years. Rather than just a non-slip (anti-slip) paint Protectakote is an advanced anti-slip Polyurethane coating incorporating rubber granules, so offering exceptional durability, flexibility and toughness. Maria, Your comment confirms, in my view, that this is some sort of anti-slip coating, particularly in view of the fact that we are talking about public buildings where this sort of safety feature is extremely important with the modern trend to sue the building owners when they slip on the surface. And in your context, it obviously does not refer to matting or carpeting.

They serve hospitals, supermarkets, banks, factories, etc., and they are describing the kinds of flooring they treat and the characteristics of the people and equipment they use. There is no reference to anti-slip materials :) Thank you very much for all the information you included in your answer. I am sure it will be useful to other colleagues in the future! |
