Relacionado means "related to", but I would think it refers to an employment relationship.

today, there has to be a mix of inside and outside directors....the lead director is inside and has the more say that an independent one from the outside..

I am not sure about the relacionado,, it might be stylistic

agree Heathcliff : Absolutely. Such a director is someone who is also a shareholder -- i.e., someone who holds an interest in the equity ("patrimonio") of the company. Sheesh!
