Le contexte : un homme a reçu des mails de menace. La police enquête et découvre que plusieurs de ces mails proviennet de la même adresse IP. Ils remontent à la source et découvre que l'expéditeur de ces mails est leur suspect. MAIS... en approfondissant leurs recherches et en entrant dans l'ordinateur dudit suspect, ils se rendent compte que les mails ne figurent pas dans le fichier des "éléments envoyés" de sa messagerie et en déduisent que "someone was using his computer as a proxy server". Estc-e qu'un fan d'informatique pourrait me dire comment tourner ça ? Merci !

C'est assez évident : 'someone' = 'someone (else)' = un tiers. Ici, c'est un point d'une importance primordiale. / OK, c'est un truc qui me marque beaucoup en français ;-)

Interesting. Actually a French-speaking person does not need to explicitly state that as they implicitly understand the computer was used unbeknownst to its owner. English must specifiy everything, unlike French. How do you feel about it?

Ce n'est pas mon avis, bref...C'est parce que vous ne le percevez pas en français...c'est implicite...Mais j'évite les traductions avec on, quelqu'un. Je trouve ça impersonnel et pas joli...
