Spanish term

No Afectos o Extentos de IVA

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care
From a health care invoice in Chile:

Boleta De Ventas Y Servicios; No Afectos o Extentos de IVA

I know IVA is VAT, but I am looking for the proper terminology for the rest of the phrase.

Discussion

Dunny Carrión Feb 16, 2010:
Correct in Spanish is "exentos" It´s neither "extentos" nor "excentos"
Rosa Paredes Feb 12, 2010:
@asker Agree with Rita and Jorge. In addition, it should read 'excentos'.
Rita Tepper Feb 12, 2010:
Agree... with Jorge.
Jorge Arteaga M.D. Feb 12, 2010:
This question is more related to economy/accounting than medicine. I suggest you consider placing it under a different category. Have a good weekend!

agree Jennifer Levey : Yes, but I'd turn it round to avoid the ambiguity of the scope of 'not': Exempt from, or not subject to, VAT.
