Spanish term

temperamento de luz a media luz

Spanish to English Science Forestry / Wood / Timber Woodland Management
SPAIN: I wonder what they mean by "de luz a media luz" here.
"El alcornoque tiene temperamento de luz a media luz, lo que permite el empleo de cortas de entresaca."

Discussion

Muriel Vasconcellos Feb 10, 2010:
Not a horticutural expression ''Partial sun" is not used in horticulture. The technical term is "partial shade".

tolerates full sun tu partial sun (exposure)

"Temperamento" is translated in the dicc forestal as "tolerance to sunlight exposure" and is divided in clases: sun, partial sun, partial shade and shade.

Something like this should do, it all sounds odd to me because I don't usually work in this field.
