Persian (Farsi) to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Writing on poetry

Let me give you plenty of context. It's from a piece about Zibonnesa, daughter of Mogul Emperor Aurangzeb, who adopted the pen-name of Makhfi. There is tension between the Emperor and his daughter on account of her refusal to marry.

مخفی در جواب او این بیت را گفته و فرستاده

نهال سرکش و گل بی وفا و لاله دو رنگ. درین چمن به چه امید آشیان بندم؟

با اینحال, زیب النسا بیگم بحکم غریزه بشری و مقتضای جوابی در دام عشق یکی از وزرای پدر که موسوم به عاقل خان
and so on

Is با اینحال used typically here, please? Also, is used only in literary Persian or do you also use it in conversation? If you don't use it in conversation, what do you use in its place, please?
