It\'s not the first time that the question popped up. Непонятно, почему native/country of origin literature вызывает сомнения.

Literature written an edited in Russia

Literature written an edited in Russia

Domestic Literature of Russia
Или:
USSR Domestic Literature (если диплом выдан до начала 90х годов).

Russian.

They contain monographs, collections of papers, conference and congress reports and proceedings, research reports, official and governmental publications, statistical reports,**domestic and foreign penal codes**, periodicals, and grey literature. [...] Between 20% and 25% of the collections are DOMESTIC LITERATURE, i.e. from Slovenia and former Yugoslavia.

2. Domestic writers elated over Chinese winning Nobel literature award

3. The links included herein relate specifically to both domestic and international museums and galleries.
http://www.buzzle.com/chapters/arts-and-literature_museums-a...
Well, the only possible way to translate all these \"domestic\" literatures, writers and museums into Russian is \"отечественный\", as opposed to foreign -- \"зарубежный\". And this meaning of the word \"domestic\" is widely used in the official and media language, in case somebody doesn\'t happen to be in the know.

Russian (Native) Literature
American Indians.

So it obviously goes as 'Russian language and literature'; 'Ukrainian language and literature'
so with your question we are having "Russian literature"/ Besides, you can hardly make 'descriptive' entries translating diplomas ie 'Russkaja' actually is to be 'Russian'.

If you can't find out to which country the diploma refers, (which would be the ideal situation), then the above option is sufficiently general to cover you if the literature in question is not Russian.

I agree - it isn't ideal. But then, for that matter neither is "national literature". Considering that we now know that the diploma is a Russian one, it would appear that your first suggestion - Russian Literature is the best one here.
