Hi,
The term I'm looking for is something like "Koee Vyaktee" (it was used by someone explaining Hindi to me), but I can't find the devanagari for it.
Many thanks,
Simon

In Hindi the word 'someone' may be expressed differently in different contexts.
If one is referring to a person, then कोई व्यक्ति would be OK.
However, when we say 'someone saw him stealing', then the Hindi term for someone would be किसी ने or किसी व्यक्ति ने and if we say 'someone could do this', then it would mean कोई भी, and so on.
Someone's=किसी का, किसी व्यक्ति का
Someone= बड़ा आदमी, महत्वपूर्ण आदमी, शख़्सियत, हस्ती,
