Hola a todos/as.

Discussion

Patricia Rosas Jun 10, 2008:
fyi I was trying to translate just the term that you posted, and you didn't include "puesto de". I agree with Muriel's answer, but I assumed that I shouldn't put "station" in the answer since it isn't part of the question.
Terry Burgess (asker) Jun 10, 2008:
Agradezco a todas/os sus aportes y tiempo. Quería evitar la repetición de "first" [response/responders/aid] entonces inicialmente se me había ocurrido "First Response Medical Assistance Station"..particulamente considerando que es puesto "instalado" [organizado/asignado]. ¿Que opinan?

first responders

Not 100% sure but this is a term widely used here for fire, police, and ambulance personnel responding to a disaster scene.

first responder station

Looking at the whole context, it's about services, not personnel. For me, "first aid" is assumed if we add "station".

agree teju : I agree with your comment, they are not referring to the people, but to the place where the first responders will be stationed at.
