ALEXAMDER VON HUMBOLDT
Can you help me to find the words in the following passage?
Here goes the transcribed passage:
MELVYN BRAGG: He -- when you mentioned Paris, he wrote in French as I understand.
JASON WILSON: He wrote in French and a bit in Germen. He was -- he was a polyglot. He spoke four or five languages perfectly. Um … he wa- -- was self-taught in virtually every branch of science available to him at the time. He was genuinely a Renaissance man. In fact someone in the Times Literature Supplement quipped ‘he was the last man who knew everything’.
MELVYN BRAGG: He was also a very fine artist -- 3:06 ((drawing of these)) plants and his maps and so on are wonderful to look at.
JASON WILSON: Absolutely.
Where 3:06 is the timestamp.
Thanks in advance. Darek
