Hi, I just start my career on translation, and I got an offer to handle a project. But first they want to know my rate. Can someone explain how to rate the translation team? My team mate is a translator that handled international journals and abstract from college. So we mostly work offline.

Giray has already pointed you in a good direction. Of course, you need to think about your own circumstances and you need to earn a rate per hour which, after tax etc., allows you to live correctly. But knowing what other translators have stated to be their target is a good starting point. Remember it's a statistical average.

Hi, I just start my career on translation, and I got an offer to handle a project.

I really want to congratulate you but I'm actually worried every time I hear that nowadays. There are some vicious scammers out there at the moment who are preying on new freelancers. Please check out the Scam Centre here on the site, and read about the latest scams being discussed in the Scam forum. Although I know you really want to start work, it's important to do a thorough job of risk management.
