Source text - German Die Geschichte Deutschlands beginnt nach herkömmlicher Auffassung mit der Entstehung des römisch-deutschen Königtums im 10./11.
Jahrhundert, wenngleich sich damit noch lange keine „deutsche Identität“ entwickelte.
Die deutsche Sprache ist seit dem 8. Jahrhundert als eigenständige, in eine Vielzahl von Dialekten unterteilte und sich weiterentwickelnde Sprache fassbar.
Die Bewohner des Reiches waren vor allem Nachfahren von Germanen und Kelten, im Westen jedoch auch von römischen Siedlern und im Osten von westslawischen Stämmen, den sogenannten Wenden oder Elbslawen.
Das römisch-deutsche Reich entwickelte sich im Frühmittelalter aus dem Ostfrankenreich, das wiederum infolge der Krise des fränkischen Reichs im 9. Jahrhundert entstanden war. Das Herrschergeschlecht der Ottonen konnte im 10. Jahrhundert die westliche („römische“) Kaiserwürde erlangen und legte die Grundlage für das seit dem späten 13. Jahrhundert so genannte Heilige Römische Reich.
Die Ottonen sowie die nachfolgenden Salier und Staufer stützten sich in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung auf die Reichskirche.
Die mittelalterlichen römisch-deutschen Kaiser sahen sich in der Tradition des antiken Römischen Reichs (Reichsidee), wobei es wiederholt zu Spannungen zwischen den Universalmächten Kaisertum und Papsttum kam.

Im Gegensatz zu den westeuropäischen Monarchien England und Frankreich, entwickelte sich im römisch-deutschen Reich nie eine zentralisierte Reichsherrschaft. Die Macht der vielen Landesherren nahm im Spätmittelalter weiter zu, die Goldene Bulle Karls IV. legte eine kurfürstliche Wahlmonarchie fest. Diese Form einer dezentralisierten Herrschaft, die durchaus auch Vorteile hatte, begründete letztlich die Tradition des deutschen Föderalismus.
Im Spätmittelalter kam es außerdem zum Aufstieg des Städtewesens.

The inhabitants of the empire were for the most part the descendants of the Germanic peoples and Celts, albeit in the west also from Roman settlers and in the east from the west Slavic tribes known as the Wends or Elbe Slavs.
The Roman-German Empire developed out of the East Frankish Kingdom in the Early Middle Ages, which in turn arose as a consequence of the crisis in the Frankish Empire in the 9th century. In the 10th century the Ottonian Dynasty was able to win the title of Emperor in the western (Roman) part of the Empire and laid the foundations for what has been called the Holy Roman Empire since the late 13th century.
The Ottonians, as well as the Salians and Staufer, who succeeded them, all used the imperial church in varying degrees to support their rule.
The medieval Roman-German Emperors viewed themselves as continuing the tradition of the ancient Roman Empire (imperial idea), this repeatedly led to tension between the universally powerful emperorship and the papacy.
As early as the last days of the Staufian dynasty (12th/ 13th century) the kingdom began losing its power. In any case the Roman-German Kings were never absolute rulers, rather they emphasised the aspect of consensual rulership of the kingdom in alliance with the great nobles.
In contrast to the west European monarchies of England and France, the Roman-German Empire never developed a centralised imperial government. The power of the many territorial princes increased further in the Late Middle Ages, the Golden Bull of Emperor Karl IV decreed the Empire would be lead by an elective monarchy chosen by the electoral princes. This form of decentralised rule, which by all means had its advantages, would ultimately form the foundations of German federalism.
Additionally the rise of urbanism took place in the Late Middle Ages.

Source text - German Frühpädagogik ist in Deutschland Ausbildungsgegenstand an Fachschulen für Sozialpädagogik bzw. in Bayern den Fachakademien für Sozialpädagogik, deren Absolventen mit dem Abschluss Staatlich anerkannter Erzieher vor allem an Einrichtungen des Primarbereiches eingesetzt werden.
Frühpädagogik konnte bis vor einigen Jahren nur in wenigen Hochschulen studiert werden.
Grundständige Studiengänge für frühpädagogische Inhalte gab es nicht.
Meist waren dies persönlich gesetzte Schwerpunkte im Rahmen von Studiengängen der Sozialpädagogik an Fachhochschulen oder Erziehungswissenschaften/Pädagogik an Universitäten.
In Zusammenarbeit mehrerer Hochschulen, die seit 2004 Studiengänge für die Bildung, Betreuung und Erziehung im Kindesalter auf Bachelor- und Masterebene anbieten, wurden hochschulübergreifend Bildungsinhalte und Vermittlungsmethoden für die Professionalisierung von Frühpädagogen entwickelt.
Seit 2011 werden Absolventen dieser Studiengänge als Kindheitspädagogen bezeichnet.

Numerous institutions of higher education, who had been offering Bachelor and Master level courses in the education, care of and nurture of children since 2004, decided to collaborate. In this way overarching curricula and teaching methods for the professionalisation of early childhood education were developed.
Since 2011 graduates of these courses have been referred to as childhood educators.
