Bio

Hola.

My name is Jesús Pulido Ruiz, I am a native Spanish translator (and still teacher a few hours per week) with experience in translation and editing from 2014.

I am passionate about language and communication, not only because of the miracle they represent, but also because they gave me the opportunity to get financially and geographically independent, with all the fabulous consequences which that includes, which is to meet amazing people around the world, between others.

I have worked in many areas of language, like engineering, law, finance and medical due to the demand of the market; nevertheless, my focus is in the Medical field. This is because before I engaged in the translation field, I worked for several NGOs and realized the big change that medical care can make in the world.

My experience in translation started in 2012 as part of my teacher duties in an Education Institution in India, but I got more interest, curiosity and knowledge in this area, after that, I worked for several international agencies from 2014 in the fields mentioned above, and today I am focused in the Medical field, with experience in the following types of documents:

- Prospects (Omeprazole, Vancomycin, Methylprednisolone, etc.)
- Medical Certificates (Fitness to travel, Visa applications, etc.)
- IFUs (Tuberculin Skin Test, AtriCure ablation devices, testing devices like Alere™i, diagnostic devices, humidifiers and nasal masks of F&P Healthcare, Medtronic stents, Olympus endoscopes, Johnson & Johnson surgical devices, etc.)
- Training materials (PeerVoice Courses for Doctors, training for users/patients for companies like Novo Nordisk, abbvie, Smiths Medical, etc.)
- Questionnaires for patients in diverse topics like psoriasis, mental health, diabetes.
- Summary of Product Characteristics (Janssen Covid-19 Vaccine, Darzalex, Opsumit, etc.)
- Validation Protocols (Zolpidem, Efavirenz, Lamivudine, Tenofovir, etc.)
- Field Safety Notices (GE Healthcare, Bard, BD)
- Product Catalogues (DePuy Synthes, Arthrex)
- Package artwork (Linezolid, Sodium Pentothal)
- Collaborated in translation/Edition of Research Studies and related documents (patient brochures, Patient Informed Consent Forms, welcome letters, leaflets, etc.)
- Drug Master Files (Tramadol hydrochloride, Cefadroxil)
- Others (websites, articles, newsletter, etc.) related to the medical field

I completed the Postgraduate Diploma "Expert in Specialized Translation", which is focused in the Medical, Legal, Technical and EU fields and currently I am completing the Master's degree in medical translation by AulaSic in Spain.

Regarding software tools, I consider myself quite tech-savvy and can adapt to any tool and format (Trados, memoQ, Across, XTM, etc.).

If you would like to count with my services, it would be a pleasure to work together; I consider myself reliable, professional, fast, accurate and a hard worker, and always strive to give the best professional service to my clients.

Thank you for reading this and have a nice day.
