My original academic background is in business studies (degree: diploma in business administration). After working as a strategy consultant and marketing specialist in corporate environments (such as 3M) for over 5 years, I decided to pursue my passion of writing/languages and completed a journalism education. I'm a published writer and have written the texts (in both German and English) for several lifestyle books that were published by teNeues in Germany. Furthermore, I've worked for various radio stations.
Since 2012, I've been working full time as a freelance translator and reviewer. I grew up bilingual and am fluent in 4 languages. My main language pair is EN-DE, and I'm rated as a top quality translator. Working with high attention to detail, I specialize in 3 areas: business (marketing/finance), legal, and technical texts. As I'm interested in the development of AI, I'm also offering MTPE services.
I hold a full license of the CAT tool MemoQ (fully compatible with Trados). Also, I'm a member of ATA (American Translators Association).
Until 2017, I have furthermore worked as a consecutive interpreter at several employee trainings and meetings (highly technical language) that were held by global corporations in Germany and Switzerland.
