Dear all and especially proz staff, ceterum censeo: I think we really do need some sub- and superscript formatting in the Kudoz section, because a good translation will show these things correctly, and many a question would be a lot clearer if the asker had a way to present it correctly. The lack of this option is very annoying, in my opinion. | | | Michael Beijer United Kingdom Local time: 02:51 Member (2009) Dutch to English + ...

How did you do that? I know there are special characters for square and cubic, but 1? Can you do a subscript alphanumeric character, too? And will it work in the Kudoz section?

I see. That's not going to work in a Kudoz answer, if I'm not mistaken. Text pasted there will always be plain text. | | | Michael Beijer United Kingdom Local time: 02:51 Member (2009) Dutch to English + ... ↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪↪ :-) | Feb 8, 2016 |

Yes, if I remember correctly, both the Answer and the Reference comment fields do not support very much in the way of formatting. This is why I often put things in the Discussion entries, where you can at least use bold and italics. I agree though, especially on a website for language professionals, we should have much better support for things like this. | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 03:51 Spanish to English + ... I also miss being able to use bold and italics in kudoz. I mostly just have to hope that people intuitively understand when I'm being tongue in cheek on making some obscure cultural reference... | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Text formatting in the Kudoz section CafeTran Espresso | You've never met a CAT tool this clever!
