I've been a member since 2005, Plus member since it started. As it's my only marketing channel I'm quite positive about it. I attended a ProZ.com conference in Eiffel Tower in 2010 and met Henry and other ProZ.com people there. I'll use ProZ.com services for as long as I translate. For me, the most useful function is the Blue Board. All of my clients have come via ProZ.com, both agencies and direct clients, even if not directly via ProZ.com but as recommended by my clients.

Being a member has enabled me to contact many new clients, most of which I now receive regular work from. Next to professional qualifications, ProZ.com membership is the best investment a translator can make.

Initially, I doubted if my membership investment would represent a benefit. Well, I broke even after 2-3 months of becoming a member!

My impression and experience with ProZ.com is positive. I get the majority of my clients from there. This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. J’apprécie également la possibilité de pouvoir obtenir des informations sur les agences de traduction et les donneurs d’ordre en général grâce au Blue Board (certes non exhaustif, mais ô combien utile !), et de l’aide en cas de besoin avec les KudoZ. De plus, grâce à ProZ.com, j’ai trouvé un client avec lequel je travaille régulièrement : espérons que cela ne soit que le début d’une longue série!
