Dear Colleagues, thanks for visiting my humble About Me section.

I translate approx 1 million words per year and the names of many brands covered would constitute a boring read. Instead I will tell a bit about my interests in the context of translations that I do. And if you still want to read about my projects in more detail, I can send you my CV. Which once used to be public, but I was informed it gained popularity among the wrong kind of visitors, so I had to make it private.

Cars. I like reading about cars, watching movies about them and translating their manuals too. I have watched pretty much everything from the likes of Top Gear and Grand Tour to some newer stuff like Fully Charged, the adventures of Bjorn Nyland and Shmee. As far as my professional life goes, I have been a translator of SAAB manuals (before they went bakrupt), as well as Volvo, Opel and Chevrolet for years. But the crown jewel must go to BENTLEY as I was given an opportunity to translate their manuals from the ground up, with no legacy baggage. Those were manuals for Bentayga, Flying Spur, Mulsanne and Continental. And I hope to continue the cooperation as those are quite an interesting read as well. Very much hope to hear from the likes of Tesla as their manuals must be quite exciting. And you must feel a part of something special lending your hand to Elon Musk's ventures. At least I think I would be.

Smartphones. Personally I am a Samsung guy since Note 2, but professionally I never had a chance to translate their manuals. Instead I have been the main guy for Huawei for several years now, as well as HTC.

Construction Equipment. Not too much personal experience with the machines themselves, but as far as translations go, I've been translating various machine manuals for years. Lots of experience with CAT manuals, as well as Volvo CE, Cargotec, Kubota, Case, John Deere, Hitachi and others.

Power Equipment. For my yard I have chosen Makita's lineup of 18V cordless tools. Although I am not their manual translator, however I have translated many DeWALT, Black and Decker and Stanley manuals. Hundreds of manuals for tools of various sorts. I think translating those was the reason I started building my own power tools collection. I chose Makita because of the sheer volume of 18V tools they offer. Righ now I am looking to get that battery operated wheelbarrow, which seems to be an amazing garden helper.

Generally I am a technical translator. I already mention what I am good at, perhaps it's time to talk about the fields I am useless in. That would be finance, medicine, pure marketing, foods, tourism and other specialized-general topics. So I am by far not universal nor I am trying to be. Instead since translation is my life, I have integrated my hobbies with my profession, the benefit being the deeper knowledge that I get from this synergy.
