My educational and professional qualifications include a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Translation, a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of Spanish translation and the study of Spanish and Latin American literature, a Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language at the superior (highest) level awarded by the Ministry of Education in Spain, and an English-to-Spanish translator certification issued by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. I have 6 years of working experience in translation and interpretation between Spanish and English. My translation experience has included but is not limited to: Translation of medical documents such as medical history questionnaires and surveys; personal and professional correspondence; advertisements to be used in print or online; website translation for greater international business accessibility; governmental petition letters; poetry, prose and other fiction and non-fiction works; transcribed conversations in both languages; translation proofreading, editing and general quality control. My oral interpretation experience consists of usage in medical settings, general business environments, and in tourism-related activities, in person as well as over the telephone.
