Astonishingly, I wait for thirty-nine minutes and don’t see one person I know. Not one, and no-one knows me. I’m as anonymous as the drivers with their universal name-cards (some surnames I know), except the drivers are better dressed. Since the kids, whatever I wear looks like pyjamas. Coats, shirts, T-shirts, jeans, suits; like slept-in pyjamas. (...)
I hear myself thinking about all the people I know who have let me down by not leaving early on a Tuesday morning for glamorous European destinations. My former colleagues from the insurance office must still be stuck at their desks, like I always said they would be, when I was stuck there too, wasting my time and unable to settle while Ally moved steadily onward, getting her PhD and her first research fellowship at Reading University, her first promotion.
Our more recent grown-up friends, who have serious jobs and who therefore I half expect to be seeing any moment now, tell me that home-making is a perfectly decent occupation for a man, courageous even, yes, manly to stay at home with the kids. A businessman's conversation should be regulated by fewer and simpler rules than any other function of the human animal. They are:

Beginning before you know what you want to say and keeping on after you have said it lands a merchant in a lawsuit or the poorhouse, and the first is a short cut to the second. I maintain a legal department here, and it costs a lot of money, but it's to keep me from going to law.
It's all right when you are calling on a girl or talking with friends after dinner to run a conversation like a Sunday-school excursion, with stops to pick flowers; but in the office your sentences should be the shortest distance possible between periods. Cut out the introduction and the peroration, and stop before you get to secondly. You've got to preach short sermons to catch sinners; and deacons won't believe they need long ones themselves. Give fools the first and women the last word. The meat's always in the middle of the sandwich. Source text - English I have a Mac and I am trying to install the Rescue Pro V3 software that came with my Extreme III product and I am receiving an error that states The file type is not supported, how can I install Rescue Pro on my Mac?
Paragraph Text: The Rescue Pro software installation CD includes the installer files for both PC and Macintosh computer systems. This error most commonly occurs when the Windows installer file is ran on a Macintosh system.
Solution:
To install Rescue Pro on a Mac computer system place the Rescue Pro installation CD into the CD ROM of your computer.
1) Once the CD has mounted to the desktop of your computer double click the disk on your desktop.
2) Once it is open look for the RescueProV3MACInstaller.bin installation file.
3) Drag this file to your desktop. This file is a compressed file so you will need Stuff It to open this file. Stuff It comes native to most Macintosh systems. If you do not have Stuff It you can download it from the internet for free.
4) Once RescueProV3MACInstaller.bin file is on your desktop double click it. This will start the decompression of the file.
5) When it is finished you will now see an icon on the desktop that looks like a CD case called Rescue Pro v3 Mac installer. Double click this file and follow the wizard to complete the installation of the Rescue Pro software.

The maintenance of the plant and equipment comprises three main components:
• Routine Maintenance; work which is carried out daily by the maintenance staff. This principally involves greasing, oiling, checking meters and replacing minor components.
• Scheduled Maintenance; otherwise known as ‘Preventative Maintenance’ this aims to keep the fully operational by preventing plant breakdowns. Preventive maintenance involves the replacement of specific components within an item of plant before the particular component becomes unserviceable causing a breakdown of the plant. Scheduled Maintenance can be further sub-divided into two categories:
- Systematic Scheduled Maintenance involving the replacement or servicing of components at specific frequencies. The frequencies are generally established in advance.
- Wear and Tear Maintenance dependent on the real operational parameters of the machine, such as the operational time-span, the number of operating cycles (opening/closing of a valve) or plant running time.
• Unscheduled Maintenance; repairs to equipment which has broken down or which is not operating correctly. Breakdown repairs must generally be carried out urgently in order to re-establish production capacity or preserve the quality of the plant operation.

Trước đó, bản án sơ thẩm được HĐXX TAND TP.HCM ngày 27-1-2014 đã tuyên Huỳnh Thị Huyền Như mức án chung thân và tuyên buộc bị cáo này phải hoàn trả toàn bộ số tiền gần 4.000 tỉ đồng đã chiếm đoạt của các nguyên đơn dân sự và bị hại.
Theo bản án sơ thẩm, bị cáo Nguyễn Đức Kiên bị tuyên phạt 20 tháng tù về tội "kinh doanh trái phép"; 6 năm 6 tháng tù về tội "trốn thuế"; 20 năm tù về tội "lừa đảo chiếm đoạt tài sản" và 18 năm tù về tội "cố ý làm trái quy định của Nhà nước về quản lý kinh tế gây hậu quả nghiêm trọng".

According to the plans of the Appellate Court of the People’s Supreme Court in HCM City, as of December 15th, the court will hold appellate trial for the case of obtaining property by deception, forging the seals of State agencies, lending with high interest rates, obtaining property by abusing trust, irresponsibility with serious consequences, of which the leader was Huynh Thi Huyen Nhu, which obtained a total amount of almost VND 4,000 billion from 15 banks, companies and individuals.
Previously, on January 27th, 2014, the juries of the court of first trial in the People’s Court of HCM city sentenced a lifetime imprisonment for Huynh Thi Huyen Nhu and required her to return the total obtained amount of almost VND 4,000 billion to the civil claimants and victims.
Under the first trial verdict, the accused, Nguyen Duc Kien, was sentenced an imprisonment term of 20 months for “conducting illegal business”; 6 years and 6 months for “tax evasion”; 20 years for “obtaining property by deception” and 18 years for “deliberate violations of the State’s economic regulations with serious consequences”.

Language Acquisition: First Syllables
