In response to suggestions brought forth by the Baltimore employees all associates will be allowed 1 “situation” from July 1, 2006 thru December 31, 2006, for Emergency Time Off without receiving an occurrence. A situation is defined as taking time you have on the books that was not previously scheduled and meets the following requirements.

Ø No prior approval necessary; however, an employee must have personal or vacation time available. If they have no personal or vacation time available an occurrence will be applied.
Ø Verification of Emergency not necessary.
Ø A “situation” can be taken in increments as low as 1 hour of paid time but will not exceed 8 hours of paid time.
Ø After the 1 situation is utilized, all absences not pre-approved will result in occurrences.
Ø Management will limit the number of employees taking a “situation” per day. Only 1 employee per shift can call in a “situation” per day. Acceptance of a situation is on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
Ø Employees must call-in prior to the start of their shift. If an employee makes a call after the start of their shift, they will be charged with an occurrence.
· Associates can call in for a situation no earlier than 24 hrs prior to a shift start and no later than 1 minute prior to a shift start.
· Drivers must call in 4 hours prior to a shift start.
Ø If an employee cannot reach their Supervisor live they must leave a message on phone mail extension # 5670.
Ø If an associate uses a situation the day before or the day after a holiday, the employee will loose their holiday pay. Situations will not be accommodated during scheduled mandatory overtime days.
Translation - Tagalog Bilang pagtugon sa mga panukalang galign sa mga empleyado ng Baltimore lahat ng mga associate ay pahihintulutan ng 1 “situationn” mula Hulyo 1, 2006 hanggang Disyembre 31, 2006, para sa Emergency Time Off na hindi makatatanggap ng isang occurence. Ø Kapag ang empleyado ay hindi matunton ang kanilang Superbaysor sila ay dapat mag-iwan ng mensahe sa telepono sa ekstensyon # 5670.
