I am a fellow graduate (Modern Languages and Literatures – 2001) and a former language teacher. I started to trail on the translation path 11 years ago after attending a 1st semester of a Post-Graduation - European Master in Specialised Translation, in Antwerp, Belgium, followed by an internship at the European Parliament, Luxembourg, in the Portuguese Translation Unit. 

As quite considerable personal advantages, I shall refer to my specific academic language training, my long experience as a language teacher, my living several years abroad in northern Europe, as well as a solid knowledge of my mother tongue together with a very good level of general culture. I may assure you all this has helped me a lot since the beginning of my translation career.

These last years I have been working on several projects within technical, marketing, financial/legal and medical areas for several agencies and clients and in 2016 I was selected to work at the European Parliament, Luxembourg, as translator trainee, thus developing considerable translation skills as well as terminology research ability.

Moreover, I have been intensively researching within specific areas of expertise (EU-institutional documents, law and finance, medicine, engineering, technology and marketing) enriching my terminology databases by using the best linguistic resources.

I work with the 2021 version of SDL Trados Studio and MultiTerm as my translation CAT tools. English/Portuguese and German/Portuguese are my language pairs. The services I provide: translation, proofreading, post-editing.
