I have an Honours Degree (Licenciatura) in the translation and interpretation of languages, specifically Spanish, English and German and I am a native Spanish speaker (though I am also fluent in English). I have also lived in German speaking countries for over 20 months, which has given me a great comprehension and understanding of the German language and culture. My intense passion for languages always makes me want to continue learning and improving my skills, and for that reason, I have recently completed a year-long course in French in the University of Strathclyde as a non-graduating student.

I have over a year of experience in interpreting as a freelance worker for Capita IT, undertaking frequent positions as an interpreter for the National Health Service, High Court and the police. I have also undertaken a number of translation projects on a freelance basis over the internet. My most recent work involved translating a website for a company selling agricultural machinery, which also demonstrates my ability to translate very technical texts very efficiently.

I am very used to work with CAT tools such as Wordfast and Omega-T, and I have also undertaken a course in the use of Déjà Vu. Although my knowledge of Trados is not extensive, I am currently working hard to improve it.
