Clarification request(s) and response
Andrew Stanleyson: 8:53pm Jan 17, 2008: http://www.britannica.com/eb/topic-291769/interval
Andrew Stanleyson: 9:26pm Jan 17, 2008: No tak.

Back when I was learning to play real instruments with moving parts, I was coerced into taking music theory exams with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (catchy name, huh ?).
They published a couple of books which I still find useful, and which are laid out in a pretty logical progession, not unlike our beloved Max tutorials.
Have a look at http://www.abrsmpub.co.uk/pub/0901.html
(I assume the one that follows on from this is called 'Second steps in Music Theory' - I don't have my copy to hand right now.)
BTW, if you're really keen to learn, as well as getting some instrumental tuition, I'd recommend getting a few of their old exam papers or workbooks,
cheers
Roger
