Italian to English translations [PRO]

Italian term or phrase: K1
I can't seem to work out what "K1" is referring to in this text. I'm sure it's blindingly obvious, but right now I'm drawing a blank.
I thought it might have been referring to the first rib, but I can't seem to find any references to back that up.
Thanks in advance for any input!

"Il passaggio cervicodorsale e la prima costa rivestono un ruolo decisivo, in quanto la stretta relazione articolare tra C7 e T1, ***tra T1 e K1 e clavicola***, influenza decisamente il movimento del braccio."

And also:
