English translation: 3 installments or three payments missed

Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s) / Articles of association
French term or phrase: cotas
Context:

Articles of association for the UK branch of association for nationals of a French-speaking African country living in the UK.

Article 12 : Le mandat d’élu dans le bureau exécutif du CME-UK prend fin dans les conditions suivantes :
- démission
- absence consécutive à trois réunions
- décision des membres du bureau exécutif
- retour définitif dument constate (avec une lettre à l’appui)
- non-paiement des cotisations (3 cotas)
- décès

I am confused by "3 cotas". I wonder if it is short for "3 cotisations"? In this case I would probably translate as "3 subscription instalments".

Or could the writer mean "quotas"? The text is well written throughout, so I have no reason to suspect a typo.

Thanks for any help.

Explanation:
Hi Anne, I think this was an error on their part, there is no word to define cotas, I think it was an abbreviation on their part. (maybe they were saying (Cotis) or quotas..

= cotisations/contribs

Explanation:
A lazy abbreviation of the preceding cotisations, namely contributions.

Alas, has turned into the Portuguese form of cotas for quotas.
