Question about KudoZ FAQ 1.21

KudoZ FAQ 1.21 states:

"It is possible for select point totals (overall, PRO, by field or by period) to go down. Factors that could cause this: - Time passes (potentially causing your point total over the last three months to drop)"

I've searched the forum and could not find an explanation for this. Is it possible to lose KudoZ points just by not answering any questions in a period of three+ months?

No, your total points don't change Dec 19, 2016

It says your point total *over the last three months*. If you get lots of points every day, and then suddenly stop getting them, your three-month total will decrease with each day that passes.
